About
A small studio for fixing SVGs
SVGMend is a set of free tools for the everyday problems of working with SVG: files that won’t display, exports full of editor clutter, icons that need to become PNGs, React components or sprites.
How it works
Everything happens in your browser. When you open or paste an SVG, it is read by JavaScript running in this tab and processed on your device. There is no server-side processing, no account and no upload, and the tools keep working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
SVGMend parses SVG with its own XML parser, which reports errors with line and column numbers and can repair broken files safely. Previews always show your SVG as an image (<img> with a local blob URL), so scripts inside a file never run and it can’t contact other servers. The SVG code is never inserted into the page.
What’s inside
- SVGO, the open-source SVG optimizer, powers the SVG Optimizer.
- fflate creates ZIP files for batch downloads.
- Repair, sanitizing, path editing, JSX and data URI conversion and sprites are SVGMend’s own code.
- Fonts: Sora and Fira Code, served from this site.
Privacy in one sentence
Your files stay on your device; the site counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and never sees what you paste or drop. The privacy page has the details.
